ESAR-VHP VOLUNTEER TOOLKIT
WHAT IS ESAR-VHP?
The Emergency System for Advance Registration of Volunteer Health Professionals (ESAR-VHP, pronounced "ee-sar vip") is a federal program that pre-registers and verifies the qualifications of health professionals who are ready and willing to volunteer to respond to disasters anywhere in the United States. In New Jersey, the ESAR-VHP program is part of the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC).

During a crisis, confirming volunteer credentials, providing training on roles and command structures, and other vital preparation can delay and overwhelm our nation's response system. The ESAR-VHP program prepares volunteers in advance, so you're ready when disaster strikes.
